Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders turned the phones into found money: B.

The Raiders ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

The Zinter pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Rosemy-Jacksaint pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.17 · Pick 17 · Terrion Arnold · CB · rank 19
In Round 1, Pick 17 they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
R1.32 · Pick 32 · Tyler Guyton · OT · rank 27
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.32 · Pick 64 · Jeremiah Trotter Jr. · LB · rank 64
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jeremiah Trotter Jr.. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Zak Zinter · OG · rank 107
They left a pile of value on the table to take Zak Zinter this early at slot 77. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R4.12 · Pick 112 · Braelon Allen · RB · rank 108
A clean, defensible pick in the 112th pick with a little surplus value in Braelon Allen. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R5.12 · Pick 148 · Jordan Travis · QB · rank 173
They reached a country mile for Jordan Travis at the 148th overall pick, and the board is aghast. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.33 · Pick 208 · Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint · WR · rank 195
A quiet steal in No. 208: Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint for less than the market said. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.3 · Pick 223 · Caedan Wallace · OT · rank 213
A tidy bit of business in pick 223, where Caedan Wallace graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R7.7 · Pick 227 · Evan Williams · S · rank 214
Evan Williams at Round 7, Pick 7 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A minor itch, scratched.
R7.9 · Pick 229 · Tylan Grable · OT · rank 231
Tylan Grable at pick No. 229 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
