The Eagles spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Nic Scourton, the No. 21 name on the board, in pick 57. For now it grades a C-, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
If Colston Loveland and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
Nothing to complain about; Colston Loveland went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Nic Scourton in the 57th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They let Tate Ratledge come to them and pounced at the Round 3 slot. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Collin Oliver at pick No. 109 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They will replay Antwane Wells Jr. at No. 139 for years; that is how good the value is. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Xavier Truss. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
No edge and no loss on Zion Nelson in Round 5, Pick 25; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
They took Antwaun Powell-Ryland at par in pick 185, which is nothing to complain about. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
By-the-book stuff, Deshawn Pace at the 206th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
Ja'Corey Brooks in pick 217 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
