This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tyler Shough, the No. 153 name on the board, stolen at the 218th overall pick.
They have staked the next five years on Shedeur Sanders, which is the only story that really matters here. They are betting Sanders proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Shedeur Sanders. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the Round 2 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A slide stopped in pick No. 68, with TreVeyon Henderson worth more than the price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No edge and no loss on Darien Porter in the 73rd pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
The board fumbled Donovan Jackson all the way to Round 4, Pick 6, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

A big swing on Shilo Sanders at the 224th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
