The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Shedeur Sanders, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
The White III value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Gordon II pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th pick they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
A quiet steal in No. 37: Emeka Egbuka for less than the market said. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
TreVeyon Henderson is a better player than the 68th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
A premium they did not need to pay, Emery Jones Jr. a notch or two before his time. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A big swing on Ollie Gordon II at pick No. 144, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They did well to land Cobee Bryant in Round 6, Pick 4, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jordan Hancock in pick 214 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Jamon Dumas-Johnson at slot 218 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Taking Ricky White III in No. 224 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
