Las Vegas Raiders

Grand theft in the Round 6 slot: the Raiders steal Mukuba and grade out a B+.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Andrew Mukuba, No. 206, roughly 120 picks past where he belonged. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Reaching for Porter left real value on the table behind him. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.30 · Pick 30 · Shemar Stewart · DE-EDGE · rank 15
In pick 30 they get a double-digit-sack hope, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.1 · Pick 33 · Jihaad Campbell · LB · rank 41
Jihaad Campbell in No. 33 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R2.2 · Pick 34 · Xavier Watts · S · rank 46
Xavier Watts in slot 34 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R2.14 · Pick 46 · Darien Porter · CB · rank 75
They left a pile of value on the table to take Darien Porter this early at Round 2, Pick 14. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.3 · Pick 67 · Quinshon Judkins · RB · rank 65
A straight-up fair deal on Quinshon Judkins at the 67th pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R3.4 · Pick 68 · Jayden Higgins · WR · rank 68
They paid sticker price for Jayden Higgins in the Round 3 slot, and that is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R4.6 · Pick 108 · Jaylin Noel · WR · rank 96
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jaylin Noel at the 108th overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R4.16 · Pick 118 · Cam Skattebo · RB · rank 99
You do not let a running back like Cam Skattebo reach pick No. 118 and blink. They did not. It fills a real need, too.
R4.30 · Pick 132 · Jalen Milroe · QB · rank 95
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Jalen Milroe in No. 132, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R5.5 · Pick 143 · Brashard Smith · RB · rank 111
Taking Brashard Smith in the 143rd pick is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R6.4 · Pick 180 · Oronde Gadsden II · TE · rank 181
By-the-book stuff, Oronde Gadsden II at pick 180 squarely in line with his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
R6.30 · Pick 206 · Andrew Mukuba · S · rank 86
Andrew Mukuba at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
