The rest of the league will want that one back. Cooper Beebe tumbling to the Eagles in slot 97 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Harrell reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd overall pick they get a sticky cover corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy little value on Xavier Worthy in the 50th pick, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No edge and no loss on Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in pick No. 54; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Cooper Beebe in pick 97 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid up for Braelon Allen at No. 137 when waiting would have done the job. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
No drama and no debate, Joe Milton III went about where he belonged in slot 163. It fills a real need, too.
Josh Proctor in Round 5, Pick 36 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A need, and now a little less of one.
A reach on Jaylen Harrell in the Round 6 slot; the board had better options right there. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Ja'Had Carter at pick No. 243 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
