They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Mason Fairchild, 56 picks early at Round 7, Pick 14. No fireworks, but a solid B.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Christian Mahogany in slot 77 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A wild overpay on Cedric Gray in Round 4, Pick 12, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A real head-scratcher, Isaiah Davis in the Round 5 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They took Isaiah Williams at par in pick 190, which is nothing to complain about. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Value said wait; Mason Fairchild in the 234th overall pick says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
