The Raiders torched the value chart for Jordan Jefferson, taking him 81 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. No fireworks, but a solid B.
However the rest shakes out, Rosemy-Jacksaint at that price is a win they earned. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
Jordan Morgan at the 44th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
You do not let a cornerback like Kamari Lassiter reach No. 58 and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Taking Tyler Guyton in the Round 3 slot is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jordan Jefferson in Round 4, Pick 12 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They talked themselves into Keith Randolph Jr. at pick No. 125, and the board did not agree. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They did well to land Jarrian Jones in pick 135, just ahead of his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
The board had cheaper options than Jahdae Barron at slot 150, and it noticed. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A wide receiver of that caliber at Round 6, Pick 15 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A tidy little value on Jawhar Jordan in No. 234, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
