Nobody had Jalen Milroe this high, and it is not close. The Raiders reached 72 spots to get him at the 23rd overall pick. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
Whatever Jalen Milroe becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. However the rest shakes out, Evans at that price is a win they earned.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. With wide receiver unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up.

A surprising call. With wide receiver still to address, they spent pick 107 on Andrew Mukuba, a safety they were not short of.
Ozzy Trapilo at No. 123 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A wild overpay on Elijah Roberts in the 137th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for JJ Pegues. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Taking Mitchell Evans in slot 182 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.

Kai Kroeger in the 224th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
