After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Reaching for Henderson left real value on the table behind him.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 8th pick they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
A conviction pick on Ricky Pearsall at pick No. 44 that the board grades a round light. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Renardo Green at No. 111 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
No edge and no loss on Roger Rosengarten in the Round 5 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They paid a round early for Myles Cole in pick 207, more than the board wanted. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They barely believed it either: Kendall Milton still on the board at slot 223. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They liked LaDarius Henderson enough to skip the value, taking him in the 229th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
