Somebody in Round 6, Pick 13 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Raiders sat still while Nick Nash, the No. 141 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The Skattebo reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.14 · Pick 14 · Tetairoa McMillan · WR · rank 9
In the Round 1 slot they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Jihaad Campbell · LB · rank 41
Jihaad Campbell at the 37th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R3.4 · Pick 68 · Cam Skattebo · RB · rank 99
Cam Skattebo at the 68th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R3.16 · Pick 80 · Omarr Norman-Lott · DT · rank 70
Omarr Norman-Lott slipping to No. 80 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The roster fit checks out.
R4.6 · Pick 107 · Will Howard · QB · rank 103
Good price on Will Howard in pick No. 107, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.5 · Pick 144 · Emery Jones Jr. · OT · rank 124
You do not let an offensive lineman like Emery Jones Jr. reach pick 144 and blink. They did not. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.4 · Pick 182 · Cobee Bryant · CB · rank 175
Cobee Bryant at Round 6, Pick 4 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R6.13 · Pick 191 · Nick Nash · WR · rank 141
They robbed the room for Nick Nash here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R6.36 · Pick 214 · Craig Woodson · S · rank 208
Craig Woodson in the Round 6 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R6.40 · Pick 218 · Ricky White III · WR · rank 204
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Ricky White III in Round 6, Pick 40. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.6 · Pick 224 · Jay Higgins · LB · rank 182
Jay Higgins at No. 224 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
