The Raiders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Xavier Restrepo, the No. 66 name on the board, in slot 218.
They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th overall pick they get a franchise quarterback. A real need, handled.
Ashton Jeanty at pick No. 37 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The roster fit checks out.
They barely believed it either: Walter Nolen still on the board at the 68th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tre Harris in slot 73, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A cornerback of that caliber at Round 4, Pick 6 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They robbed the room for Wyatt Milum here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Smael Mondon Jr. at the Round 6 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor itch, scratched.
The board fumbled Quinshon Judkins all the way to No. 214, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
You do not let a wide receiver like Xavier Restrepo reach pick 218 and blink. They did not. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jake Majors in pick No. 224 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
