Start where it matters. The Raiders took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
The Williams pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 1st pick they get the face of the franchise. A clean fit for the roster.
No edge and no loss on Kingsley Suamataia in slot 46; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 4 slot with a little surplus value in Jalen McMillan. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Ty'Ron Hopper in pick 151 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A wide receiver of that caliber at No. 235 is the definition of value, full stop. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
