Start where it matters. The Raiders took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Reaching for Taylor III left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
