The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Call it a C+ and check back in two years.
The McGlothern reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.
Hit on Jayden Daniels and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 8 they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Sedrick Van Pran in Round 3, Pick 13 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They paid sticker price for Cooper Beebe in pick 112, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A clean, defensible pick in No. 150 with a little surplus value in Jaylin Simpson. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A wild overpay on Dwight McGlothern in slot 194, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They liked Antwaun Powell-Ryland enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 7 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Aaron Frost at the 236th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
