Las Vegas Raiders

Quarterback settled, Sanders in the fold, and a B- for the Raiders.

Start where it matters. The Raiders took Shedeur Sanders to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

Lewis has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Irving at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.14 · Pick 14 · Shedeur Sanders · QB · rank 11
In No. 14 they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
R2.14 · Pick 46 · Ladd McConkey · WR · rank 56
A reach on Ladd McConkey in the 46th pick; the board had better options right there. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R3.14 · Pick 78 · Andrew Mukuba · S · rank 86
They paid a round early for Andrew Mukuba in the Round 3 slot, more than the board wanted. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R4.11 · Pick 111 · Bucky Irving · RB · rank 103
Bucky Irving at slot 111 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The roster fit checks out.
R5.15 · Pick 151 · Robert Lewis · WR · rank 196
Robert Lewis in pick 151 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R7.15 · Pick 235 · Zion Nelson · OT · rank 230
Zion Nelson in pick No. 235 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
