The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Michael Penix Jr., and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

Every board in the league had Okie-Anoma lower, and that gap is the story. The Jones pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the Raiders had louder needs to answer first. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
