After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Raiders committed. Bo Nix is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
The cost of the Jackson reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 12 they get a passer to set the clock by. A clean fit for the roster.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in Round 2, Pick 12 is fair value, right on his grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Circle this one: Kingsley Suamataia at No. 76 is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
The board had cheaper options than Khyree Jackson at the Round 4 slot, and it noticed. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jonah Monheim at the 149th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They went early on Zion Tupuola-Fetui in the 190th overall pick, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They jumped the gun on Tahj Washington, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
