The board owed the Raiders one, and it paid up: Cam Skattebo, the No. 109 name on the board, sitting there at the 212th pick like a gift left on the doorstep. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

They will need Mesidor to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Everything downstream of Cam Ward depends on Cam Ward, and the building knows it.

That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
