The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Bo Nix, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The Beebe reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 13 they get the face of the franchise, though they paid up to get him. A real need, handled.
A conviction pick on T'Vondre Sweat at Round 2, Pick 12 that the board grades a round light. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A real head-scratcher, Cooper Beebe in the Round 3 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Khyree Jackson at the 112th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They took Sincere Haynesworth at par in the 150th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Michael Barrett at slot 190 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Carson Steele at pick No. 234 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
