They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Josh Proctor, 95 picks early at the 148th pick. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 13 they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
In the 19th overall pick they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They paid a round early for Dominick Puni in slot 77, more than the board wanted. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Roger Rosengarten in No. 112 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A real head-scratcher, Josh Proctor in the 148th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
No edge and no loss on Caedan Wallace in Round 6, Pick 33; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
