The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Bo Nix, and the whole operation now runs on his development.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Frazier has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
They jumped the gun on Denzel Burke, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Zak Zinter. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Zach Frazier in the 114th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They paid up for Fabien Lovett at pick 151 when waiting would have done the job. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jaylan Ford in Round 6, Pick 17 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Storm Duck at slot 235 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
