They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Landing Gray that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Every board in the league had Lindberg lower, and that gap is the story.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 13 they get a long-term answer under center at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
They let Troy Fautanu come to them and pounced at pick 44. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They robbed the room for Brian Thomas Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
By-the-book stuff, Leonard Taylor III at the Round 4 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Will Shipley in slot 150. It fills a real need, too.
Cedric Gray in the 190th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Chad Lindberg at No. 234 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
