The trade table was where it all came apart. The Raiders shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Put together, it is a D+.
So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Every board in the league had Limmer lower, and that gap is the story.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 6 they get a franchise quarterback. A real need, handled.
Payton Wilson at pick No. 44 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They did well to land Blake Fisher in Round 3, Pick 13, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Mekhi Wingo in the 112th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Beaux Limmer at No. 113 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at the 210th pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A straight-up fair deal on Frank Gore Jr. at the Round 7 slot, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
