The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Vikings watched Quinshon Judkins slide 91 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 24 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
The board fumbled Kaleb Johnson all the way to the 97th overall pick, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Steal is underselling it; Jared Wilson at pick 140 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Quinshon Judkins at the Round 5 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
