You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Eagles did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Corum. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a sticky cover corner at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Xavier Worthy at pick No. 51 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kingsley Suamataia in the 53rd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
Calen Bullock slid further than he should have, and No. 83 is lovely value for the safety. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Blake Corum in the Round 3 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A straight-up fair deal on Cedric Gray at pick 121, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They did well to land Dallin Holker in slot 160, just ahead of his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid up for Khristian Boyd at the 170th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Delmar Glaze at slot 189 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It fills a real need, too.
They took Jaylan Ford at par in the Round 6 slot, which is nothing to complain about. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
