They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Vikings' quarterback, full stop.
Hall has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That Jordan pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 11 they get their guy under center for the next decade. The biggest hole, addressed.
They liked Jackson Powers-Johnson enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 42. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board had cheaper options than Darius Robinson at the 108th overall pick, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Cam Hart at No. 129 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
No drama and no debate, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 12. It fills a real need, too.
No edge and no loss on Austin Booker in the 160th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A big swing on Gabe Hall at pick No. 168, well ahead of any board in the building. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A real head-scratcher, Jared Wiley in the Round 6 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jawhar Jordan at No. 230 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
