The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Vikings spent their marquee pick on Bo Nix, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Hart pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th overall pick they get the arm they will build around, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in pick 42 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A surprising call. With edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots still to address, they spent pick No. 115 on Cam Hart, a cornerback they were not short of.
No edge and no loss on James Williams in the Round 4 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
By-the-book stuff, LaDarius Henderson at Round 5, Pick 24 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Frank Gore Jr. in No. 165 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jabbar Muhammad in the 230th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
