The Jarrian Jones selection is the head-turner. The Eagles reached 37 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. McCaffrey at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 22 they get a blindside protector. A real need, handled.
Ja'Lynn Polk at the 50th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Value with a capital V on Edgerrin Cooper in slot 53, a genuine coup. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jarrian Jones well ahead of where he belonged. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They reached a country mile for Jaylin Simpson at pick 114, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Mason McCormick in No. 160 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

A conviction pick on Jared Wiley at the 189th pick that the board grades a round light. It fills a real need, too.
Dominique Hampton in pick No. 240 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
