Somewhere a general manager is explaining how TreVeyon Henderson got past him. The Vikings do not have to explain a thing at the Round 5 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They will need Stewart to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.31 · Pick 31 · Shemar Stewart · DL-EDGE · rank 51
In No. 31 they get a problem off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R3.33 · Pick 97 · Andrew Mukuba · S · rank 72
Taking Andrew Mukuba in slot 97 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.2 · Pick 140 · Jake Majors · C · rank 93
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Jake Majors in the 140th pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.28 · Pick 166 · TreVeyon Henderson · RB · rank 61
TreVeyon Henderson in the Round 5 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
