You could see the war room lean forward. AJ Barner at slot 230 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.
Job largely done: quarterback settled and 7 of 8 of the wish list covered. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
