Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Raiders were there to profit. Tyler Shough, the No. 136 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 213th pick.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
