The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Cam Ward, and the whole operation now runs on his development.

Landing Nash that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.6 · Pick 6 · Cam Ward · QB · rank 6
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term answer under center. A real need, handled.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Omarion Hampton · RB · rank 31
Omarion Hampton in No. 37 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R3.4 · Pick 68 · Alfred Collins · DT · rank 57
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Alfred Collins at the 68th pick is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.9 · Pick 73 · Elic Ayomanor · WR · rank 58
Value with a capital V on Elic Ayomanor in the 73rd overall pick, a genuine coup. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R4.6 · Pick 107 · Darien Porter · CB · rank 78
They barely believed it either: Darien Porter still on the board at Round 4, Pick 6. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R5.5 · Pick 144 · Lathan Ransom · S · rank 109
A safety of that caliber at pick 144 is the definition of value, full stop. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R6.4 · Pick 182 · Nick Nash · WR · rank 146
They will replay Nick Nash at slot 182 for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.36 · Pick 214 · Jacob Parrish · CB · rank 216
Jacob Parrish at pick No. 214 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R6.40 · Pick 218 · Woody Marks · RB · rank 184
Somehow Woody Marks was still sitting there in pick No. 218, and they pounced on premier running back value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R7.6 · Pick 224 · KeAndre Lambert-Smith · WR · rank 189
KeAndre Lambert-Smith in the 224th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
