Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Texans.

Nobody had De'Corian Clark this high, and it is not close. The Texans reached 36 spots to get him at slot 164.
For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 23 they get a sticky cover corner. Need was not the driver here.
Edgerrin Cooper in pick No. 59 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
They reached a country mile for Leonard Taylor III at the 85th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid a round early for Jaheim Bell in the Round 4 slot, more than the board wanted. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
No edge and no loss on James Williams in pick 127; it is a wash and a sensible one. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
De'Corian Clark at the 164th pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Xavier Thomas at the 239th pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A wild overpay on Tanner McLachlan in pick 248, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
