The Vikings spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. No fireworks, but a solid B.
The Bowers steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 11th overall pick they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Taking Brock Bowers in pick 42 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They did well to land Marshawn Kneeland in slot 108, just ahead of his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They will replay Khyree Jackson at pick No. 130 for years; that is how good the value is. A minor itch, scratched.
James Williams slipping to Round 5, Pick 12 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

Good price on Chau Smith-Wade in No. 166, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
You do not let an edge rusher like Cedric Johnson reach the 179th pick and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Darius Muasau at Round 7, Pick 10 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It adds depth where they could use a little.
