The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Jake Majors, the No. 93 name on the board, sitting there at pick 163 like a gift left on the doorstep.
Reaching for Roberts left real value on the table behind him. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
