Thirty-one other rooms let Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint slide, and the Vikings were the ones holding the card at Round 6, Pick 4. Highway robbery. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
It is not that Jackson is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 11 they get a premier pass rusher. The biggest hole, addressed.
A straight-up fair deal on T.J. Tampa at the 42nd pick, value and slot in agreement. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A clean, defensible pick in No. 108 with a little surplus value in Spencer Rattler. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The needs board was loud and they turned it down, spending the Round 4 slot on Khyree Jackson with offensive lineman and tight end unsolved.
Ty'Ron Hopper at Round 5, Pick 12 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Justin Rogers at the 160th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Good price on Jaylen Wright in slot 165, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The roster fit checks out.
Steal is underselling it; Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at pick No. 179 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
No edge and no loss on Jalen Green in the 230th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
