The Vikings spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Keon Coleman, the No. 36 name on the board, in No. 108.

Every board in the league had Knox lower, and that gap is the story. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Vikings indulged a want in Brownlee Jr. while a need in safety stayed open.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, J.J. McCarthy and all.
