The trade table was a mismatch, and the Eagles were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Jenkins value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A tidy little value on Edgerrin Cooper in pick 34, a step better than break-even. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A tidy bit of business in the 64th pick, where Kris Jenkins graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They took Quinyon Mitchell at par in Round 3, Pick 9, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A slide stopped in No. 82, with Brian Thomas Jr. worth more than the price. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Blake Fisher at slot 97 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Adisa Isaac at pick No. 119 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the edge rusher. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Fair-plus on Khyree Jackson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Cole Bishop in the Round 5 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Luke Lachey at pick 147 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A clean, defensible pick in No. 169 with a little surplus value in Gabriel Murphy. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Bryce Foster at the Round 5 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The roster fit checks out.
By-the-book stuff, Jaden Hicks at pick No. 178 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They let Ainias Smith come to them and pounced at the 179th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Good price on Curtis Jacobs in slot 199, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
They did well to land Shemar Turner in Round 6, Pick 32, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
