The trade table was a mismatch, and the Raiders were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. No fireworks, but a solid B.
On value alone, Brooks makes the weekend a net positive. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
T.J. Tampa at Round 2, Pick 12 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Jonathon Brooks in the 77th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A slide stopped in pick 112, with Brenden Rice worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Christian Jones at No. 148 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
By-the-book stuff, Tatum Bethune at pick No. 229 squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
