You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Eagles did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.
They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. Getting Stover where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Eagles clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
