When a board-topper like Keon Coleman slides to the 226th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Cardinals did not.
Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Good work on the whole, with offensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Caleb Williams. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
In No. 21 they get a bendy edge with upside at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Jer'Zhan Newton in pick 34 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Circle this one: Xavier Worthy at slot 66 is a fall that decides a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They barely believed it either: Xavier Worthy still on the board at Round 3, Pick 6. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They will replay JT Tuimoloau at pick No. 85 for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Josh Newton in No. 102 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 133rd pick is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Keon Coleman in No. 226, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
