Start where it matters. The Raiders took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
However the rest shakes out, Coleman at that price is a win they earned. The cost of the Proctor reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a franchise quarterback. A real need, handled.
A tidy little value on Xavier Legette in the 44th overall pick, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
You do not let a wide receiver like Keon Coleman reach Round 3, Pick 13 and blink. They did not. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Khyree Jackson slipping to No. 112 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Roger Rosengarten in the 148th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They robbed the room for Fabien Lovett here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
A premium they did not need to pay, Edefuan Ulofoshio a notch or two before his time. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They paid a round early for Josh Proctor in pick 229, more than the board wanted. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
