The Cardinals turned the phones into found money: B+.

Future B-

Whoever sat across the table from the Cardinals should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The Abrams-Draine value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.4 · Pick 4 · Malik Nabers · WR · rank 4
In slot 4 they get a go-to option on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
R1.26 · Pick 26 · Dallas Turner · LB-EDGE · rank 14
In the 26th pick they get juice off the edge at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.10 · Pick 42 · T.J. Tampa · CB · rank 43
No drama and no debate, T.J. Tampa went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R3.2 · Pick 66 · Jeremiah Trotter Jr. · LB · rank 64
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in Round 3, Pick 2 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R3.11 · Pick 75 · Christian Haynes · OG · rank 80
Christian Haynes in pick 75 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.26 · Pick 89 · Braden Fiske · DL · rank 88
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Braden Fiske. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.4 · Pick 104 · Audric Estime · RB · rank 102
Audric Estime at the 104th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.27 · Pick 127 · Donovan Jackson · OG · rank 125
Donovan Jackson at pick No. 127 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R5.4 · Pick 140 · Kris Abrams-Draine · CB · rank 126
They let Kris Abrams-Draine come to them and pounced at pick No. 140. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
R6.13 · Pick 188 · Brennan Jackson · DE-EDGE · rank 186
No edge and no loss on Brennan Jackson in slot 188; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.5 · Pick 225 · Isaiah Williams · WR · rank 215
Nice patience on Isaiah Williams, who had no business lasting to No. 225. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.7 · Pick 227 · De'Corian Clark · WR · rank 220
De'Corian Clark in Round 7, Pick 7 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
