The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Quinn Ewers, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Presley pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 19 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
They will replay Denzel Burke at the 42nd pick for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Derrick Harmon in pick 73 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
Somehow Billy Bowman Jr. was still sitting there in No. 109, and they pounced on premier safety value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Phil Mafah at pick No. 145 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Bryson Nesbit at Round 6, Pick 12 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Steal is underselling it; Brennan Presley at the 212th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Fair-plus on Dasan McCullough, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Deion Burks in pick 225 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
