The real work happened on the phones. The Cardinals fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. However the rest shakes out, Wilson at that price is a win they earned.

The veteran additions, Jaire Alexander chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
