Call it larceny. TreVeyon Henderson sat on the board until pick 159, and the Vikings did not need to be asked twice. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A real need, handled.
Somehow Kaleb Johnson was still sitting there in the 89th overall pick, and they pounced on premier running back value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They barely believed it either: Xavier Watts still on the board at pick No. 97. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jake Majors in pick 138 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach slot 159 and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
