The war room fell hard for Isaiah Davis, and it showed at slot 130: 62 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Landing Jones that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.30 · Pick 30 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 34
In the 30th pick they get a two-high chess piece. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.24 · Pick 56 · Kris Jenkins · DL-EDGE · rank 49
Kris Jenkins at No. 56 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.24 · Pick 87 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 87
Mike Sainristil in Round 3, Pick 24 is fair value, right on his grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Gabriel Murphy · DL-EDGE · rank 90
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Gabriel Murphy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R3.30 · Pick 93 · Michael Hall Jr. · DT · rank 94
No drama and no debate, Michael Hall Jr. went about where he belonged in pick No. 93. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R4.8 · Pick 108 · Michael Pratt · QB · rank 107
A straight-up fair deal on Michael Pratt at pick 108, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.28 · Pick 128 · Ainias Smith · WR · rank 123
Ainias Smith in slot 128 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.30 · Pick 130 · Isaiah Davis · RB · rank 192
A big swing on Isaiah Davis at pick No. 130, well ahead of any board in the building. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.12 · Pick 148 · Jarrian Jones · CB · rank 130
Jarrian Jones in pick 148 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
R5.24 · Pick 160 · Moose Muhammad III · WR · rank 157
Good price on Moose Muhammad III in No. 160, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.29 · Pick 165 · Austin Booker · DL-EDGE · rank 164
They took Austin Booker at par in the 165th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.4 · Pick 179 · Justin Walley · CB · rank 196
Justin Walley at the 179th overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
R7.10 · Pick 230 · Brevyn Spann-Ford · TE · rank 241
Brevyn Spann-Ford at Round 7, Pick 10 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The roster fit checks out.
