The Vikings bet big and early on Isaiah Davis, 27 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Muhammad III. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

In the 11th overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter. A clean fit for the roster.
A quiet steal in the 42nd pick: Tyler Nubin for less than the market said. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Michael Hall Jr. in Round 4, Pick 11. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They robbed the room for Khyree Jackson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A minor itch, scratched.
James Williams at No. 148 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.

David Ugwoegbu at No. 230 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It fits a board better than it fits this team.
