Thirty-one other rooms let Jaxson Dart slide, and the Raiders were the ones holding the card at the 108th overall pick. Highway robbery. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The back end got a real overhaul.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
Travis Hunter at pick No. 6 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Cam Ward at the 37th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Steal is underselling it; Tre Harris at slot 68 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Jaxson Dart at Round 4, Pick 6 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
